TIME is almost up for Antonio Conte at Chelsea and I’ll bet he cannot wait to get out of Stamford Bridge.

I’ve seen Brendan Rodgers mentioned as a replacement but if I was him, I would run a thousand miles.

Chelsea will have to sack Conte because he is not going to make it easy for them and I  think he is dead right.

Every time I think about the way Chelsea have treated Conte this season, I feel angry at the stupidity of it.

It is extraordinary that a man who wins the Premier League title from a standing start following Italy’s involvement in Euro 2016, has been treated like the enemy by his own employers.

It is also extraordinary that the media in England continue to blame Conte for Chelsea’s decline.

Conte has left players he didn’t buy, like Ross Barkley, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater and Olivier Giroud, on the bench because he doesn’t feel they fit his plan.

Maybe he is being stubborn about that but who would blame him.
