Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he has banned himself and his coaching staff from entering the player’s dressing room at the club’s training ground.

Pochettino suggested he made the decision to give the players space time to ‘behave naturally’ without worrying whether their boss or his assistants will be lurking in the corner.

“We have one rule that is very important,” declared Pochettino. “When the players are in their changing room, the coaching staff is not allowed to go.

“For us, it’s sacred. It’s the only space on the training ground where they can behave naturally and not worry if the gaffer is coming.”

Maybe this rule is one of the reasons why Pochettinho has succeeded in building an impressive rapport with his players during his time as manager of both Southampton and Tottenham.
