Liverpool are thriving as an attacking force this season but John Giles isn't completely on board with the make-up of Jurgen Klopp's strike force.

The Liverpool manager has opted to use Roberto Firmino as his lead striker, which has relegated fit-again Daniel Sturridge to a place on the bench. The decision appears to have paid off, with Liverpool scoring 30 goals in their first 12 Premier League games, but John Giles isn't sold on the idea.

Speaking on The Stand, Eamon Dunphy's new podcast, Giles called Klopp a 'one trick pony' before saying that he feels that Sturridge should be in the Liverpool team.

"I wouldn't agree with everything he does," Giles said of Klopp.

"Daniel Sturridge should be in the Liverpool side. Sometimes, managers have to live with players not doing what they want them to do. I think he's a one trick pony, with a brilliant trick."

Liverpool play Sunderland at 3pm this afternoon.
