Mario Balotelli finally left Liverpool last week, joining Nice on a free transfer, and his agent has had some choice parting words for Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.

Mino Raiola has had an astonishing summer, brokering transfer deals for three new Manchester United players - Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, netting himself a massive amount of money in the process.

But despite so many of his clients going well, Raiola is still prepared to step in and defend some lesser members of his stable.

After Balotelli departed Anfield after a disastrous spell in Liverpool, the superagent gave an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport where he torched Jurgen Klopp.

“At the end of the day the Liverpool directors admitted Klopp was unfair,” Raiola told the publication.

“I won’t judge him as a Coach, even if for me he isn’t a great tactician, but I don’t think he realised we were talking about a person. Mario was exemplary, he never complained even when training alone.

“It’s not enough to say Klopp was unfair: he was a piece of ****.”
