Gary Neville came up with a great one liner to describe David Luiz's return to Chelsea
Of all the summer transfer window moves, none were more surprising than David Luiz's return to Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho sold the Brazilian centre back for £50m back in the summer of 2014, so the news that new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte was bringing Luiz back to Stamford Bridge for £30m on transfer deadline day certainly raised eyebrows.
There had been no rumours of a return deal in the days previous, and even after the transfer was completed, many people questioned whether the former PSG defender was suited to Conte's style.
The ex-Juventus and Italy manager has previously worked with some of the most solid defenders in the game - which Luiz is not.
Gary Neville voiced those concerns ahead of tonight's game with Liverpool, going off the board with a comparison to Luiz returning to Chelsea.
'I think of the centre backs that Conte has had in the last few years and they are very solid and dependable," Neville said on Sky Sports.
"There is something bizarre about it [Luiz's return]. I'm trying to think of an analogy to describe it, probably a bit like me and Miss World."
