Shay Given is in line to join Frank Lampard's backroom overhaul at Chelsea with the Derby County manager set to take the reins from Maurizio Sarri.

Lampard appointed the former Ireland No 1 as Derby's head goalkeeping coach when he took over at Pride Park last year and with as many as nine of Sarri's backroom team leaving this summer, Given is ready to join the ex-Chelsea midfielder in a return to the Premier League.

Goalkeeping coach Massimo Nenci is one of those leaving, having been responsible for the misunderstanding between Sarri and Kepa Arrizabalaga in the League Cup final.
