Brighton striker Glenn Murray and his wife arrested over alleged £1.1m tax fraud
Brighton striker Glenn Murray and his wife have been arrested over an alleged £1.1m tax fraud.
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) released a statement saying: "A husband and wife have been arrested as part of an investigation into a suspected £1.1 million tax fraud."
It has been reported by the BBC that officers raided Murray's home on Tuesday morning and seized computers and other documents.
Murray, 34, is Brighton's top scorer this season with seven goals in all competitions. He married his wife, Stacey, in June 2014.
