Bernard Dunne (Liverpool fan and former boxer)

"I'm going to the game and I can't wait, because this is absolutely huge. I can see it even in text messages from friends and on Facebook. Us Liverpool fans take great pleasure in the Mancs getting beaten and I suppose they take great pleasure in seeing us where we are. And with them having the opportunity to take the record this year as well, there's an added rivalry.

"My dad's a West Ham fan, so I've had to put up with a bit of gloating this week. Doesn't happen too often in fairness! I think Liverpool are in a bit of a transition, but the fans are definitely more tolerant now that Kenny Dalglish is back. There's a lot more faith now.

"Personally, I wouldn't be in a rush to throw him a long-term contract just yet, because anybody can have a run of six or seven games. Let's see what he does for the rest of the season. I mean he's someone who wants nothing only what's best for Liverpool.

"I enjoy listening to him being interviewed and how he speaks about the club. I still think we're a couple of signings away from where we need to be. That said, I would take Andy Carroll (left) and Luis Suarez any day to replace Torres. Given Torres' performances over the last year or so, we did exceptionally well to get £50m for him.

"Last year, I got over for about half a dozen games and I was in Athens for the Champions League final in '07. If they get to the Aviva for the Europa League final this year, I'll definitely be cheering them on.

"As for this weekend, if Carroll plays, United are going to struggle without Vidic or Ferdinand. I think Suarez has got great touch. I think we'll see the best of him alongside Carroll."

Liverpool 2 (Suarez, Gerrard), United 1 (Brown).
