2012/13 Premier League fixtures club by club
Premier League champions Manchester City will get the defence of their title underway against Southampton when the 2012-13 season starts on August 18.
Roberto Mancini's squad, who in May won their first title in 44 years, do not meet Manchester rivals United until December 8 when they will host Sir Alex Ferguson's side in a bid to make it three consecutive derby victories.
Manchester United get their campaign underway with an away trip to Everton, a fixture they won 1-0 last season before hosting Fulham. Ferguson's side face a tough run in the second two months of the season travelling away to Liverpool [Sept 22] and Chelsea [Oct 27] with a home tie against Tottenham in between.
Third place last season, Arsenal, open with a home tie against Sunderland. September will prove a testing time for the north London club as they come up against Liverpool [Sept 1], Manchester City [Sept 22] and Chelsea [Sept 29] over a four-week period.
Having spent the back end of last season vying with Newcastle for fourth place, Tottenham visit Tyneside on the opening day of the season. Their first top-four clash does not come until September 29 when they travel to Old Trafford.
Looking to add to their trophy haul last season, Chelsea will travel to Wigan on August 18 before hosting Newcastle a week later. Besides an away trip to Arsenal on September 29, Roberto Di Matteo's squad will come up against Man United and Tottenham on back-to-back weekends in October.
Returning to the top flight for only the second time, Reading will start their season at home to Stoke while fellow newcomers West Ham host Aston Villa at the Upton Park.
The opening weekend is completed by West Brom visiting Anfield, Fulham hosting Norwich and Swansea travelling to QPR.
