Possible candidates to replace Roberto Martinez at Everton
Roberto Martinez's three-year reign as Everton manager came to an end on Thursday when the Toffees announced the Spaniard had left the club.
Martinez leaves Goodison Park with Everton 12th in the Barclays Premier League standings and having won just one of their last 10 matches in all competitions.
Here Press Association Sport looks at who could replace Martinez in the hotseat for next season.
The former Celtic manager has yet to sign a new contract to stay with the Republic of Ireland for the 2018 World Cup and, despite qualifying for Euro 2016, this summer's tournament may be an appropriate time to make the break.

The Dutchman's agent has admitted De Boer would love to join a club like Everton and he has emerged as the bookmakers' favourite. He left Ajax on Thursday after seeing his side dramatically miss out on the Eredivisie title to PSV Eindhoven on Sunday after failing to beat lowly De Graafschap .
The Chilean is stepping aside at Manchester City to allow Pep Guardiola to come in but is keen to remain in the Premier League, and Everton offers him that option. Won the title and two League Cups with an expensively-assembled City squad but money is less of an issue now at Goodison Park with new ownership and a bumper television deal.
The Dutchman has impressed at Southampton having been given the unenviable task of taking over from Mauricio Pochettino. Saints will finish above Everton for the second successive season and while Goodison Park may seem like a sideways step in that respect the challenge of reviving an historic club may be one he would consider.
Currently out of work after unsatisfactory spells at Manchester United and Real Sociedad, the Scot knows the club well having spent 11 years in charge and is good friends with chairman Bill Kenwright. However, both parties may see any prospective move as a retrograde step.
