Former Liverpool goal scoring machines Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres are expected to return to Anfield next month to take part in Steven Gerrard's testimonial.

A whole host of former greats are expected to feature which is due to take place on march 29 during the international break.

The Liverpool legend is leaving his boyhood club to join the Los Angeles Galaxy this summer, but the club are arranging a testimonial of sorts for Gerrard, according to reports in Spanish newspaper AS.

Atletico Madrid striker Torres scored 81 goals in a three-and-a-half career on Merseyside, though has struggled since during stints at Chelsea and Ac Milan.

Suarez has taken time to settle into life at Barcelona this season since his transfer last summer and both players have been contacted about appearing in the match according to the paper

Pepe Reina, Javier Mascherano and Xabi Alonso have also been mooted for a return to their old stomping ground.

Since making his debut in November 1998, Gerrard has made 702 appearances for the Reds, scoring 183 goals in that time.
