Robbie Keane's managerial career gets off to the perfect start - as he scores the winning goal for his team
Robbie Keane's first step into management was a success today as his ATK side beat NorthEast United 1-0 - with the Ireland legend scoring the winner.
Keane has been playing for the Indian outfit this season, but also assumed the role of caretaker manager for today's game after the departure of Ashley Westwood. Teddy Sheringham had started the season as manager but was sacked after a poor start to the campaign.
Legendary Ireland striker Keane already holds his UEFA A licence and has spoken in the past about his ambitions to become a manager when he finally hangs up his boots.
The 37-year-old has been in good form for ATK lately though, with his winner after ten minutes his sixth goal in his last seven games for the side.
