Hat-tricks from Matthew McKevitt and Cormac Cotter powered holders UCC into the last four of the Collingwood Cup with a 7-0 demolition of Limerick's Mary Immaculate College.

Amateur international Shane Daly-Butz also got on the score sheet along with McKevitt and half-time sub Cotter.

UCD showed real determination to get past Maynooth University, comfortably coming out on top 3-0.

Georgie Kelly gave them a half-time lead with a brilliant finish before adding a second early in the second. Daire O'Connor sealed the win on the hour with a cool finish from Kelly's square pass.

Two goals each from Jack O'Connor and Alan O'Sullivan with Rory Feely adding a fifth saw DCU through to the last four with an 5-1 win over Ulster University.

Hosts Queen's University survived a late rally from Trinity College to reach the semi-finals after looking comfortable thanks to an Eamon Fyfe hat-trick.

Trinity fought back with a James Woods brace before a strike from Queen's Daire Rooney. Muhanned Bukhatwa's final goal was too little too late.
