Former Sky presenter Richard Keys thanks hospital staff for 'saving my life' on New Year's Eve
Former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys has revealed that hospital staff saved his life on New Year's Eve.
Keys, who was sacked from Sky in 2011 after recordings of himself and Any Gray commenting on female colleagues surfaced, is currently in a specialist heart and lung hospital in London.
"Emotional now & I'll regret this tomorrow," he wrote on Twitter.
"Not a great year, mostly my fault - but this wasn't.

"Thank you to everybody [at Royal Brompton & Harefield] for saving my life & letting me see 2018. Let's all have a happy & healthy New Year."
Keys posted a picture of himself lying on a bed and hooked up to an oxygen mask and drip, although he did not reveal the exact cause of his illness.
Keys and Gray have reinvented themselves on Qatari TV network biIN Sports since their Sky sacking.
Earlier this year, Keys' ex-wife Julia revealed she filed for divorce following the revelation that he's been having an affair with their daughter's friend.
The couple have been married for 34 years but Julia (56) accused Keys of tearing their family apart after she discovered he'd been having an affair with a young woman.
