Didi Hamann gets shirty after posting picture of Matt Holland's World Cup jersey
Dietmar Hamann proudly displayed his Irish football jersey today after tweeting a picture of his kit-swap from the epic 2002 World Cup encounter.
In a game never to be forgotten by Irish supporters who witnessed the game in Ibaraki, Hamann lined up against Matt Holland in midfield in the dramatic 1-1 draw, with both number eights swapping their jerseys post-match.
The now record World Cup goalscorer Miroslav Klose had given the Germans a first-half lead before Robbie Keane conjured up a late equaliser which helped seal progression to the second round.
The two pundits battled it out in the middle of the park that night at the Kashima Stadium with Hamann posting the picture on his Twitter account.
Holland too has his own special commemoration from that particular match.
