Republic of Ireland international Megan Campbell says the current squad will use their absence from the Women's World Cup as motivation to make sure they qualify for the European Championship finals in 2021.

The World Cup finals start in France tomorrow week and Manchester City player Campbelll insists that Bell's charges are determined to make up for that failure to qualify.

"The Euro 2021 finals are in England, not too far from home so hopefully if we get there we'd get a good crowd behind us, but we have to start with game one which is in September and work from there," Campbell said ahead of the next bout of qualifiers.

"We will use the World Cup, and not qualifying, as motivation, a stepping stone, to say, 'this is what we didn't do right and where we need to improve on'. We didn't qualify but we see it as a positive."
