Ahead of their Champions League meeting with Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday, Barcelona made it six league wins out of six with a 3-0 victory at Catalan neighbours Girona.

Barca's first two goals came from own goals by the hosts, who are in their first La Liga season.

Aday Benitez deflected Jordi Alba's shot into his own net before goalkeeper Gorka Iraizoz turned Aleix Vidal's cross into his own net.

Luis Suarez smashed home a third with 20 minutes remaining to maintain their four-point lead at the top of the table.

Dani Ceballos scored twice on his first league start for Real Madrid as they beat struggling Alaves 2-1. The 21-year-old Spanish midfielder, signed from Real Betis in the summer, held off two defenders before striking home his first.

Atletico Madrid beat Sevilla 2-0 to remain unbeaten. Goals from Yannick Carrasco and Antoine Griezmann sealed the win, with Diego Costa watching his new club from the stands.

in Germany, after Bayern Munich drew 2-2 with Wolfsburg on Friday, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's hat-trick helped Borussia Dortmund thrash Borussia Monchengladbach 6-1 to go two points clear on top.

Paris St-Germain dropped points in Ligue 1 for the first time this season as they missed the injured Neymar in a goalless draw with Montpellier.

Meanwhile in Italy, Paulo Dybala scored twice to take his tally to 10 goals in six Serie A games as Juventus crushed Torino 4-0 in the Turin derby.

Torino's cause was not helped by the dismissal of Daniele Baselli for two yellow cards with more than an hour to go.

Juve took advantage of the extra man, Miralem Pjanic doubling the lead before Alex Sandro's header made it 3-0.

Adel Taarabt was one of two Genoa players sent off after Inter Milan scored a late winner.

Inter looked set to be frustrated before Danilo D'Ambrosio headed in late on.

Stephane Omeonga was sent off for pulling back Eder on the halfway line when the Inter player was in on goal, and Taarabt was then dismissed.

Duvan Zapata took advantage of a huge error from his cousin Cristian Zapata as Sampdoria beat AC Milan 2-0 in Serie A.

The Milan defender headed a bouncing cross straight to Sampdoria's striker to power home from six yards out. Ricky Alvarez added an injury-time second via the post from the corner of the box.

Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain are paying Neymar more than £600,000 per weeked according to leaked documents shown in German publication Der Spiegel.
