Nottingham Forest have commissioned a special front cover for their match day programme that will celebrate the return of Martin O'Neill to the club as manager.
The appointment Forest legend O'Neill has been welcomed by the club's fans, despite the negativity surrounding the final few months of his tenure as Republic of Ireland manager.
O'Neill often spoke about his role in Forest's greatest triumphs during his time as Ireland boss and the artistic programme cover to mark his first game in charge against Bristol City this weekend will tap into his success as part of Brian Clough's European Cup winning team of 1979 and 1980.
While O'Neill may have lost the support of Ireland fans in his final few months in charge, it is pretty evident from this tribute that his latest employers are keen to celebrate his glorious past.
Roy Keane remains in talks with Forest officials over a role in O'Neill's set-up at Forest, with discussions over his wage expectations reported to be holding up confirmation of his appointment.
