Newcastle and Everton weigh up move for Long
Shane Long appears set for a month of non-stop transfer speculation after it emerged last night that both Newcastle United and Everton are considering a move for the Irish international striker, WRITES GARRY DOYLE.
With Stoke City and Norwich City also interested, Long's future at West Brom is uncertain, especially after boss Steve Clarke was sacked.
The club tried to sell him to Hull in August -- before Clarke vetoed the deal. A £5m fee was agreed -- leaving Newcastle and Everton with a head start for negotiations.
