More like the ginger Cleverley! Twitter reacts after Roy Hodgson refers to Jack Colback as the 'ginger Pirlo'

Roy Hodgson sent twitter into a frenzy when he referred to Newcastle's Jack Colback as the 'ginger Pirlo'.

Hodgson named four uncapped players in his squad with Colback, Calum Chambers, Danny Rose and Fabian Delph all included in a new-look 22-man party.

Tottenham winger Andros Townsend returned to the squad after missing the World Cup through injury and there was also a place for Everton's 20-year-old defender John Stones.

Hodgson named Wayne Rooney as his new captain but most observers were taken aback when Hodgson referred to Colback as the 'ginger Pirlo', making comparisons between Colback and legendary Italian midfielder Andrea Pirlo.
