McDermott adds gloss for Moville

MOVILLE CC are within one win of All-Ireland redemption after this emphatic victory.

Twelve months on from last year's national final defeat to Christ King Girls SS, two goals in either half in Monaghan sent the Inishowen school into this year's showpiece.

Only Leinster champions Sacred Heart, Tullamore, who play the holders in tomorrow's other semi-final – stand between a repeat of last year's decider.

Back-to-back Ulster champions Moville stormed into a two-goal lead through Aine McLaughlin's strike and a precise header from Roma McLaughlin.

Ursuline have been Connacht top dogs for the last three years and they pulled one back before the break when Lauren Boles fired home from the spot.

However, the Donegal team sealed victory as Sarah Jane McDonald finished off a fine passing move and Charmaine McDermott curled home a free-kick.
