New Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill is look at West Ham star Mark Noble this evening.

O’Neill is to attend the West Ham and Crystal Palace game and Noble is said to be amongst his main priorities.

The West Ham man has been in fine form this season and he has been capped by the England under 21s. However, he qualifies for the Republic of Ireland through the granny rule. His grandparents hail from Cork.

Noble’s own preference would be to represent England but he hasn’t ruled out representing Ireland.

Hull City centre half Curtis Davis  is also said to be on O’Neill and his assistant Roy Keane’s radar.

The pair are said to be determined to improve the pool of players at their disposal and are willing to look at any players who meet eligibility requirements.
