Manchester United pair Paul Scholes and Ben Amos sign new contracts
MANCHESTER United's promising young goalkeeper Ben Amos has signed a three-year contract to remain at Old Trafford while veteran midfielder Paul Scholes has completed the formalities to his one-year extension which was agreed earlier this month.
Amos's deal will run until at least 2015 while Scholes has agreed to turn out for one more season having come out of retirement in January.
Amos featured for United in their three Carling Cup outings last season and made his Premier League debut in January's win over Stoke.
The goalkeeper has had loan spells with Norweigan side Molde, Peterborough and Oldham.
Scholes, meanwhile, has signed a new one-year deal after confirming earlier this month his decision to continue playing.
Ferguson does believe this will be Scholes' last season in a United shirt but is convinced the midfielder can have a similar impact next season after he almost managed to guide the club to the title following his comeback
