Man arrested for racial abuse of Rangers player
A man has been arrested in connection with racial abuse allegedly directed towards Rangers player Kyle Bartley.
The football club complained to police on Sunday, claiming the 20-year-old defender, who is on loan from Arsenal, was abused on the social networking site Twitter.
It came hours after the Glasgow side were defeated 3-0 by city rivals Celtic in the last Old Firm game of the season.
Strathclyde Police said today that a 18-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
