Lehmann's Muppet show
Former Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann's lawsuit against Werder Bremen goalkeeper Tim Wiese -- for saying he should "join the 'Muppet Show"' -- has been dismissed.
A court in Munich rejected the claim this week when it said Wiese's comment was "not a clear defamatory criticism" albeit "not worthy of repetition".
The court said Wiese was entitled to use freedom of expression and that he had not infringed on the personal rights of Lehmann, who is not known for his sense of humour.
The 29-year-old Wiese made the "Muppet" remarks, among others, after Lehmann criticised the Werder 'keeper while commentating on a Champions League clash.
