FAYSEL KASMI’S brace at the RSC tonight helped Waterford maintain their 100 pc home record and condemn basement side Bray back to losing ways.

Following two successive defeats, and four red cards, the Blues needed a win to resume their title prospects.

Although they struggled in the first half, once Kasmi got the breakthrough eight minutes after the break, Waterford’s class against the league’s basement side shone.

Derek Daly added a second before the Belgian notched his second in stoppage-time.

Fresh from their first victory in 10 matches over Shamrock Rovers, Bray were desperately unlucky not to be ahead at the break as they fashioned three clearcut chances to forge head.

Ronan Coughlan was the chief culprit in spurning a sitter on the half hour by tapping wide with the goal at his mercy.

After Izzy Akinade struck the post for Waterford on either side of the break, they upped the tempo to break the deadlock.

Kasmi winger curled his left-footed shot beyond Aaron Dillon after his first effort was blocked by Hugh Douglas.

The Belgian a part in the second nine minutes from the end by teeing up Daly to find the net with a deflected shot.

He then lashed a great chance wide but atoned in stoppage time by drilling another of his pinpoint shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
