Sligo Rovers released a statement to say that they were parting company with their manager Owen Heary but confusion has reigned since the announcement.
Heary was sacked and reinstated in the past week and the club released a statement via Twitter yesterday to say that he was gone... again.
The Sligo Rovers statement said: "Sligo Rovers F.C. reluctantly wish to confirm that Owen Heary has stepped down as First Team Manager and departed the club. We would like to thank Owen for his services to the club and wish him all the best for what will without doubt be a successful managerial career."
Heary was on Setanta Sports last night for St Patrick's Athletic's 3-0 win over Longford and said that the situation was 'in limbo'.

The statement was released about 20 minutes later and at half-time Heary gave his side of the story.
"I never stood down as manger... they sacked me," he said.
