Twigg back to see off Bray

Gary Twigg marked his first start of the season with the only goal as Rovers made it three wins from three with a comfortable dismissal of Bray in Tallaght.

Having conceded four goals at home to St Pat's, the early signs were ominous for Bray as Billy Dennehy went close twice in the opening four minutes.

Thomas Stewart had a shot blocked before Twigg was left all alone at the back post to receive Ollie Cahill's free, but he sent the ball wide. Dan Murray then had a shot saved by Brian Kane, with Twigg's follow-up cleared off the line.

The Seagulls were beginning to look comfortable, but a rare foray into Rovers territory ended in disaster on 36 minutes. Aidan Price cut out Chris Shields' pass, Danny Murphy cleared to Chris Turner and he embarked on a purposeful run. Turner found Dennehy on the right, and he squared the ball to Twigg, who swept it home.

Wanderers' Mark O'Brien saw a straight red for a tackle on Stephen Rice with 23 minutes remaining.
