This all-time League of Ireland 11 contains some household names

LOI Weekly invited former Drogheda United manager Johnny McDonnell on to the show this week to discuss a range of issues including Sean Maguire's transfer value, Shamrock Rovers slump and his all-time League of Ireland XI.

McDonnell included such players as Dave Henderson, Owen Heary and Jason Byrne in his all-time League of Ireland XI, which can be viewed here , but he wasn't content with just an all-time League of Ireland XI, instead preferring to submit an Irish International's who came from the League of Ireland XI in addition to his all-time XI.

The former Drogs boss included seven current squad members of the senior squad in his all-time Irish international LOI XI including current captain and former Sligo Rovers right-back Seamus Coleman.

However, there was some contention over his centre-back partnership with former PFA Player of the Year winner Paul McGrath having to contend with ex-Shelbourne defender Curtis Fleming for the right to partner Andy Boyle in the centre of defence.

To hear McDonnell's full selections you can listen to the podcast below. [Head to the 28:50 mark for LOI XI + Irish international XI selections].
