'The phone has been ringing' - Shamrock Rovers open to 'serious' Graham Burke bids
Shamrock Rovers boss Stephen Bradley insists the Hoops will only listen to "serious" offers for their Ireland international forward Graham Burke.
The 24-year-old returns to domestic action with his club, at home to bottom side Bray Wanderers tonight, as Ireland duty forced him to miss last week's 5-2 loss to Dundalk.
Preston remain favourites to sign the forward, though Bradley admits there is interest from continental clubs as well.
"The phone has been ringing, obviously, but unless someone is really serious and wants to talk properly, then Graham will be here for the length of his contract," says Bradley.
"Why can't we look at big fees? If someone came and offered that (60k), you'd ask them have they seen the kid play."
Meanwhile, Galway United members will be asked next week to accept a proposed takeover of the Division One club by a Saudi Arabian-backed consortium.
Galway have been a fan-owned club since a rebirth in 2015 and the prospective owners are keen to invest heavily in the Connacht outfit with a view to European qualification.
