Waterford United have confirmed that Roddy Collins has left his post as manager and that a successor will be appointed in the near future.

Collins, who has also managed Bohemians, Shamrock Rovers and Derry City, took over at Waterford United in 2015 and, as of today, they are currently in  sixth place in the first division.

However, in their last game, they slumped to a record 8-1 defeat to UCD.

The club took to social media to announce that Collins was no longer in charge. In their statement, Waterford United thanked Collins for his efforts.

“The club would like to thank Roddy for his efforts over the last 18 months and wish him the best of luck in the future.”
