DUBLIN will have home advantage for both FAI Ford Cup semi finals after today's draw in Abbotstown delivered good news for Shamrock Rovers and St Patrick's Athletic.

Rovers will take on Derry City in the stand-out encounter with a place at the Aviva Stadium in the final at stake.

Meanwhile, First Division survivors Finn Harps face a daunting trip to Inchicore to take on the Saints who will be delighted with the outcome as they seek a first cup win since 1961.

Both semi finals will take place on Sunday October 5 and will be broadcast live on RTE with the Pat's-Harps encounter kicking off at 1.45pm and the Rovers-Derry clash scheduled to begin at 3.55.
