Now Rovers are in the driving seat
Shamrock Rovers are in the driving seat in more ways than one. The League of Ireland champions unveiled a new sponsorship deal with Spanish car manufacturer SEAT.
Chairman Jonathan Roche described SEAT's financial support as a "massive coup". Rovers' sponsors of the past 14 years, Woodies DIY, are to remain with the team but will see their logo moved to back of the players' jerseys.
"They've been through thick and thin with us but they got some good times in the last few years and hopefully will have many years to follow," Mr Roche added.
