It remains all to play for next Friday after Cabinteely and Longford played out a scoreless play-off draw at Stradbrook.

But the Dublin side will be without ex-Town player Kevin Knight for the second leg after he was sent off with a straight red card after a tackle on Mick Donnell on 86 minutes.

With Drogheda awaiting the winners, both defences came out on top in a tight first leg. Home 'keeper Stephen McGuinness made a fine stop to keep out Aaron Dobbs' drive just after the hour mark in what was the only opportunity of note in the second period. Cabo did have a goal ruled out for offside midway through when Paul Fox's header was chalked off.

Earlier, the visitors claimed Dylan Grimes' ninth minute corner had crossed the line after it was palmed down by McGuinness and then cleared by Rob Manley, but ref Alan Carey waved play on.

CABINTEELY - McGuinness; Massey, Tuite, Keeley, Knight; Dalton (Sasaki 65), O'Neill, Labutis (Barnes 88), Fox (Hudson 88); R Manley, Waters.

LONGFORD - Steacy; J Manley; McDonnell, Kenna, Zambra, Doherty, O'Conor; Grimes (Hopkins 73), Verdon (Dervin 76), Evans; Dobbs.
