Kelly fails to make Derry pay penalty
Bray Wanderers 0 Derry City 0
Bray were left to rue a series of missed chances, including one from the penalty spot at the Carlisle Grounds.
Ger Doherty made a brilliant save to keep out Graham Kelly's free-kick, after six minutes and Bray went close again in the 28th minute when Dave Webster volleyed the ball wide from just six yards after Kelly's quickly taken free.
They had an even better chance to break the deadlock five minutes before the break. Danny Ventre was adjudged to have handled the ball, but Kelly's powerful penalty hit the bar and David Cassidy fired the rebound over.
The trend of Wanderers attacking continued in the second half, with Kelly just off target before Doherty produced another great save to keep out the midfielder's 20-yard drive.
