Harps call meeting
Finn Harps directors will hold an emergency meeting tomorrow morning to address the club's "worrying" financial situation.
Harps were banking on a home derby with Derry City next week to give their coffers an injection.
But, with Derry facing FC Midtjylland in the Europa League, that fixture has been shelved.
"We don't want to panic or dramatise it, but the Board will have an emergency meeting on Sunday morning to get a plan together," Harps commercial officer Aidan Campbell said.
"There are extra costs associated with the whole thing and we just don't know when the game will be played. We'd hope that it will be played in an early slot in July, but it all depends on how Derry do in Europe. It is a worrying time for us."
Harps' next scheduled home game is against Cork City on July 14. That may also have to be rescheduled and Campbell admitted: "We are in a sticky situation now, pure and simple."
