Gary Twigg set for Shamrock Rovers exit
SHAMROCK Rovers striker Gary Twigg is to leave the club at the end of the season.
The Scottish forward has spent four years with the Dublin club but his contract expires at the end of this season and despite being offered a new deal, he is leaving for family reasons, the club has said.
A statement from Rovers confirmed the news and revealed that Twigg; "expects to sign for an Irish League club when he leaves the Hoops."
Since joining Rovers in 2009, Twigg has scored 85 competitive goals, helping the Hoops to two league titles, a Setanta Cup title and an historic run to the Europa League group stages.
