THE FAI Cup quarter finals will be played out over four separate dates next month after the FAI finally agreed on a fixture list.

The presence of Bohemians and Waterford in the Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup, as well as international call-ups for Bohemians players, had left tournament organisers with a headache.

Now it's been confirmed that only one game, Galway United v Shamrock Rovers, goes ahead on Friday September 6th, with Sligo Rovers hosting UCD on Saturday September 7th.

Waterford, at home to Motherwell Colts in the Scottish-run cup competition, will play at home to FAI Cup holders Dundalk on Monday September 9th, while Bohemians play away to Crumlin United, at a venue yet to be decided, on Monday September 16th.

That fixture list sees Dundalk play four games in three competitions in the space of 12 days next month.
