FAI confirm Bray Wanderers have secured funds to pay players until the end of the season
The Football Association of Ireland has confirmed that Bray Wanderers have provided the relevant documents to show the club has secured funding for the remainder of the season.
Bray had missed Thursday's deadline to prove they had the money to pay wages for the rest of the season - but the FAI reassured their players the cash will be bonded by the weekend.
The FAI have acted as the go-between in terms of discussions between the club and the union over the status of Bray's finances.
"Bray Wanderers FC has provided the Football Association of Ireland with documentation which demonstrates that the club has secured sufficient funds for the remainder of the 2017 SSE Airtricity League season," read an FAI statement.
"The FAI has been in ongoing communications with the club regarding its funding issues and would like to acknowledge the club's cooperation throughout the process."
The Bray dressing room has been unsettled by developments and star man Gary McCabe was given permission to leave on Monday but rejected a move to Linfield.
