Finn Harps striker Eddie Dsane has been discharged from hospital, after falling ill at the weekend.

Dsane, who scored the Harps goal in Friday's 3-1 defeat to Galway United at Finn Park, was admitted to Letterkenny University Hospital.

Dsane had complained of feeling unwell the lead-up to Friday's game.

While he played in the game, the Londoner was taken to Now Doc on Friday night.

The following day, the 20-year-old striker - who has scored four goals in his last five games - was taken into Letterkenny University Hospital.

Harps manager Ollie Horgan said the situation was 'concerning'.

Dsane was released from hospital but is not expected to feature in Friday's FAI Cup game against Bohemians in Ballybofey.

"Thank God, Eddie is ok again," Horgan said. "He received medical attention over the weekend.

"He didn't feel well before the game and he got worse afterwards. It was concerning and worrying for a while, but the main thing is that Eddie is ok now."
