Drogheda will have to play their next home First Division game on a Sunday afternoon due to problems with the floodlights at United Park that caused Friday's opener with Finn Harps to be postponed minutes before kick-off.

The referee was unhappy with the amount of lightbulbs that were out of service at the FAI-owned ground.

Drogheda are waiting for floodlights to be replaced as a consequence and, while work is under way, the visit of Athlone on Friday, March 9 has been moved to Sunday, March 11 with a 3.0 kick-off.

They have also ceded home advantage for their March 5 EA Sports Cup tie with St Mochta's which has been switched to Porterstown Road.

Meanwhile, the Harps game has been rescheduled for Monday, March 26 at 7.45pm with work due to be completed by that point.
