Eoin Doyle scored twice as Sligo Rovers strolled to victory in Drogheda.
Sligo threatened early with home 'keeper Steven Trimble stepping up with an impressive double save to deny both Richie Ryan and Alan Keane in the 12th minute.
Drogheda enjoyed a short phase of possession but, as in so many games this term, they lacked the quality to make their graft pay off.
On 27 minutes Doyle knocked in his first, Iarfhlaith Davoren provided a nice pull-back and the lone striker dispatched with a clean strike.
In a half that Sligo largely dominated, Ryan struck the bar with a thunderbolt shortly after the break.
They made that possession count when substitute John Dillon out jumped Philip Hand to head home Davoren's cross with 15 minutes left.
Five minutes later, Dillon turned provider -- his immaculate ball complemented perfectly as Doyle found the net with a superb header.
