SLIGO Rovers manager Paul Cook is staying with the FAI Cup finalists after failing to agree terms with Scottish Premiership side, St. Johnstone.

Cook meet with St Johnstone officials, followed by talks with their chairman Geoff Thomas yesterday.

Cook was offered the job and although compensation had been agreed between the clubs, the move broke down over personal terms.

The West of Ireland side faces Shelbourne in the FAI Cup final on Sunday week.
