FAI Cup champions Dundalk have been handed a potentially tricky tie against non-league opposition in the third round of this year's competition.

Stephen Kenny's men will travel to face Intermediate Cup winners Crumlin United, a side who have a habit of taking Premier Division scalps in the competition.

Martin Loughran's Leinster Senior League men have already beaten Finn Harps in this year's competition and proved too strong for Shelbourne following a replay in 2009.

Elsewhere, Shamrock Rovers face a trip to Athlone, Bohs will host Derry and St Pat's were drawn home to Limerick.

FAI CUP THIRD ROUND DRAW

Athlone Town v Shamrock Rovers

UCD v Janesboro FC

Ringmahon Rangers v Cobh Ramblers

Bohemians v Derry City

Crumlin United v Dundalk

Wexford Youths v Sligo Rovers

St. Patrick's Athletic v Limerick

Longford Town v Cork City
