Byrne and O'Connor experience the key

Experience in the Airtricity League should never be underestimated as last night's Carlisle Grounds tussle proved when the game was decided by Bray's veteran performers Jason Byrne and Danny O'Connor.

On the quarter-hour, Kevin Knight's floated delivery caused panic at the back for Bohs and Byrne provided a crisp left-footed finish from an acute angle.

Bohemians, though, summoned a response, restoring parity in the 30th minute when Dinny Corcoran's sharp header from a Keith Ward cross brought them level.

Bray custodian Darren Quigley then had to be alert to deny Adam Martin, Kevin Feely and Luke Byrne before they regained the lead in the 60th minute. Byrne and John Mulroy kept the attack alive from a Knight free-kick, allowing O'Connor to nudge Bray ahead.
