Bradley seeks Cup confidence lift
Shamrock Rovers will look to move beyond the frustration of last Friday's draw with Limerick when they welcome Longford Town to Tallaght for the EA Sports Cup tonight.
Manager Stephen Bradley could do with a win after three successive league defeats were followed by a home draw against Limerick.
Bradley insists that the Rovers display in the game was excellent, but he will have to juggle his options tonight given they face a trip to Derry on Friday and then the visit of double winners Cork to Tallaght on Monday in a crunch round of back-to-back fixtures.
"Friday's result was very disappointing," said Bradley. "I thought we played excellently, but we just weren't able to take our chances and they had the one chance and took it and got a draw."
"On another night it would have been a completely different story. We'll have to take a look at the squad and assess where we are. We have a very busy schedule, it's going to be difficult but we have the depth for lads to step in.
"Longford are a good side, we played them in pre-season so we know they've a good squad and what they can do."
Elsewhere tonight, Shelbourne host Drogheda United in an all First Division tie.
