Boyle brace helps Derry rout Bohs
Bohemians 1 Derry City 4
Nathan Boyle proved Derry's supersub with a brace off the bench as they routed hapless Bohs at Dalymount.
Lively Derry were ahead on 14 minutes as Aaron McEneff drove home a penalty after home 'keeper Shane Supple tripped Rory Paterson.
Derry doubled their lead in first-half stoppage time. Bohs' skipper Derek Pender's overhit back pass was hacked off the line by Supple. But the clearance ran to substitute Boyle who drilled low to the net.
And Bohs fell further behind five minutes into the second half. Derry broke quickly with Boyle racing though to shoot between the legs of Supple. Bohs hit back on 55 minutes, Paddy Kavanagh's deflected ball found Dinny Corcoran to volley home.
But Derry sealed their win with another counter-attack on 64 minutes. Boyle broke and his shot was parried by Supple, but Lukas Schubert, just on the pitch for Josh Daniels, bundled the ball home with his first touch.
