BOHEMIANS have been fined after they fielded an ineligible player in Monday's Premier Division defeat to UCD.

Bohs lost the game 1-0 due to a Yoyo Mahdy goal but the result has now been recorded as a 3-0 win for UCD as punishment for the Gypsies, who played Daniel Mandroiu in the game when he should have been suspended.

"An FAI Disciplinary Committee has found that Bohemians played an ineligible player, Daniel Mandroiu, who was due to serve a suspension in the fixture," said an FAI statement.

"In accordance with the FAI rules, UCD have been awarded a 3-0 victory and a fine has been imposed on Bohemians."
