The curtain-raiser for the 2020 SSE Airtricity League season, the Dublin derby between Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers, has been moved to a Saturday afternoon kickoff on advice from the Garda Síochána.

Bohs had been due to host Rovers on the opening night of the season, Friday February 14th, but today the club stated that the match would now go ahead the following day.

"After discussions today between both clubs and the FAI, who had consulted with An Garda Síochána, Bohemians' opening SSE Airtricity League fixture against Shamrock Rovers will now take place at 2pm on Saturday February 15," Bohs said in a statement.

A big crowd is expected for the game, with Bohs confirming that tickets will not go on general sale until next month as the club continue to sell season ticket and membership packages for the new season.
