LEAGUE OF IRELAND PREVIEWS
Bray Wds v Sligo Rovers
(Carlisle Grounds, 7.45)
League form: Bray DLLLW, Sligo WWLWW.
Betting: Bray 7/2, Sligo 4/6, Draw 12/5.
Referee: A Buttimer (Cork).
Team news: Richie Baker, David Tyrrell, Adam Mitchell and Graham Kelly are out for the Seagulls, but new signing Gary Dempsey could feature. Richard Brush looks set to miss the rest of Sligo's season, while Gavin Peers is suspended, but Romauld Boco could return after re-signing for the club.
Talking point: Bray are on their best run this season (one win and two draws in their last six), but Sligo have four wins in five. They could go within a point of third-placed Bohs, albeit having played three more games.
Verdict: Away win.
Dundalk v UCD
(Oriel Park, 7.45)
League form: Dundalk WLLDL, UCD LLLWL.
Betting: Dundalk Evens, UCD 23/10, Draw 11/5.
Referee: N Doyle (Dublin).
Team news: Alan Cawley is out for the season for the Lilywhites, while Garry Breen (illness) is out and Steven Lennon (foot) is doubtful. New signing Dean Bennett should be available to play. Brian Shortall, Sean Harding and David McMillan are missing for the Students.
Talking point: Both sides flattered to deceive early in the season and have come crashing down to earth. A win is crucial for Dundalk's hopes of returning to European.
Galway UTD v Sp Fingal
(Terryland Park, 7.45)
League form: Galway DLLDW, Sporting Fingal DWLDD.
Betting: Galway 21/10, Sporting Fingal 11/10, Draw 11/5.
Referee: D Hanney (Dublin).
Team news: Alan Murphy is Galway's only absentee. Fingal, meanwhile, are still without Colin Hawkins (broken ribs), while Keith Quinn (foot) is also out.
Talking point: Sean Connor's side have escape from the relegation zone firmly in their sights and a win here could put them level on points with UCD, but they will first have to inflict just a second away defeat on their Dublin counterparts.
Verdict: Away win.
St Pat's ATH v Drogheda UTD
(Richmond Park, 7.45)
League form: St Pat's LWWDD, Drogheda WLWLL.
Betting: St Pat's 2/5, Drogheda 6/1, Draw 3/1.
Referee: D Tomney (Dublin).
Team news: Gareth Coughlan (leg) is the Saints' only absentee. Alan McNally, Corrie Treacy, Eric McGill and Paul Crowley are all suspended for Drogheda, Brendan McGill is still injured and Darragh McNamara, Jamie Harris and Glen Fitzpatrick are doubtful.
Talking point: With title-rivals Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians locking horns on Sunday, St Pat's have an opportunity to take a commanding lead at the summit without much trouble against a depleted Drogs side.
Verdict: Home win.
